Who we are
ASA Glass Sp. z o.o. was founded in 2017 and continues the work of a glassworks established more than thirty years ago at ul. Lotników 4A in Krosno – the heart of Poland's glassmaking tradition. Today more than 200 glassmakers, technicians, decorators and quality inspectors work with us.
Krosno – the city of glass
Glass has been made in Krosno since the 16th century. From the very beginning, the town offered ideal conditions for glassmaking – and generations of glassmakers who passed on their knowledge. That is how "glass from Krosno" became a byword far beyond Poland. This tradition lives on in our glassworks: in the hands of experienced glassmakers and in a craft that cannot be automated.
Our own recipe
What makes our glass special starts with the batch. Over the years we have developed and refined our own recipe – with a particularly high proportion of high-quality minerals. The result is a glass that is crystal-clear, colour-neutral and exceptionally brilliant, refracts light clearly and vividly, and at the same time stays stable and robust. For projects that call for maximum sparkle, such as chandeliers or faceted glass, we also melt lead-free crystal glass in a separate furnace on request.
Time for the glass
We take particular care when cooling. Every piece passes through our very large annealing lehr, which cools the glass extremely slowly. This gives the glass the time it needs to release internal stress – the basis for durable, stable glass that stays beautiful for many years.
Our capacity
Up to 150 tonnes of glass and around 40,000 glass products leave our glassworks every month. We produce single pieces and prototypes as well as large series – in any size that can be formed, exactly to your specification.
Made in the EU
All our glassware is made entirely in our glassworks in Krosno, Poland: melting, forming, annealing, processing, decorating, inspecting and packing. Short distances and full control over every step – made in the EU.
