Glass is timeless — and so are the partnerships we build with our customers in the lighting and interior design industries.

About ASA Glass

ASA Glass Sp. z o.o. was founded in 2017 and continues the work of a glassworks established more than thirty years ago at ul. Lotników 4A in Krosno — the heart of Poland's glassmaking tradition.

Today our production is focused on lighting glass. Clear and opal glass form the basis of our work, complemented by coloured glass on request. Qualified teams oversee every stage — from product development and technology to forming, mechanical processing and decoration. Our glass is melted to our own recipe – crystal-clear, brilliant and robust.

We work for luminaire manufacturers and designers alike: alongside a broad standard range, we develop new products based on our customers' own designs.

Inside our glassworks

Two and a half minutes in Krosno: from the furnace and the glassmakers' bench to processing, decoration and the final quality check.

Production

One site.
The complete process.

From molten batch to the packed carton, every step happens in our glassworks in Krosno — and every piece passes through skilled hands along the way.

01

Development

Every new project begins with our development team: we translate your design into a form that can be produced reliably and repeatably by hand.

02

Forming

Specialised glassmakers shape the molten glass in moulds to achieve the required form. The batch is melted at temperatures of up to 1460 °C.

03

Annealing

Each newly formed piece is cooled in a dedicated annealing furnace, relieving internal stress and making the glass safe to use.

04

Mechanical processing

Grinding, bevelling, polishing and drilling — every piece is adapted to our customers' requirements and passes through several hands until it is complete and safe. Over the years we have developed solutions that keep these processes fast without compromising on quality.

05

Decoration

We adapt flexibly to special customer requirements and keep investing in new techniques and equipment, so we can offer a broad range of contemporary finishes — see our finishing techniques below.

06

Quality control & packing

Our quality department measures, analyses and reports on every product. A strict inspection procedure is followed every day before dispatch — the more demanding the project, the stricter the check. Goods are then packed exactly as the customer specifies.

Our signature material

Opal glass.
Light, softened.

Clear and opal glass are the foundation of our production. Opal glass turns a bright light source into a calm, even glow — the quality that makes a luminaire feel warm and refined. We melt and form it with the same care as every piece we make, so that each shade in a series matches the next.

Opal glass

Every shade,
tested in the light.

Our speciality

Satin. Sandblasted. Etched.

Satin-finished glass is one of our core competences. We are one of the few glassworks in Europe that form glass and sandblast and etch it in-house – fully matt, inside, outside or both, on clear and opal glass, with consistent quality across the entire series.

More about satin glass →
01

Soft, glare-free light

The matt surface diffuses light evenly and hides the light source – LED included.

02

Sandblasting and etching

Both processes in-house: from silky etched shades to precisely blasted patterns.

03

Identical in every series

The matt finish is defined on a reference sample and checked throughout the series – repeat orders included.

Finishing & decoration

Every surface, refined.

Our decoration department turns a clear form into a finished design object — with techniques that meet even the most demanding projects.
